Our woodland management is also independently audited to comply to the UK Woodland Assurance Standard. This ensures that the firewood we are selling comes from a sustainable local source with a very low carbon footprint and high environmental standards.

The annual harvesting of beech and softwood firewood through silvicultural thinning operations improves the biodiversity of our woodlands. It allows us to maintain a wider variety of woodland species and deadwood habitat vital for a healthy forest.

We DO NOT import or kiln dried our firewood logs, instead we use the sun and the wind to dry logs, storing them under covers during the winter. The moisture content of our naturally seasoned logs is often drier than rapid kiln dried logs.

We season our logs for 2 years and store our firewood logs into vented log bags.

Like many reputable firewood suppliers around the country, we are keen to sell good quality firewood at a fair price and in such a way that the potential customer can compare ‘apples with apples’. We are looking to maintain strong repeat customer base in the Moray and Nairnshire area.

We only sell processed firewood by the loose cubic metre (1m3 loose) as this volume measurement provides consistency and can be checked and compared against other suppliers.

We deliver tipped loads, 2 loose cubic meters at time onto a driveway or yard.

Our firewood is predominantly beech, our softwood logs are either Douglas fir, Grand fir, Larch, spruce or pine.
